Every Ranzen instrument passes through the same hand-checked process before it leaves Sialkot — no step is skipped, whatever the order size.
Step 1
Raw material check
Every batch of stainless steel is checked against the specified grade — 420, 440C or Japanese steel — before it's released to production.
Step 2
Forging & shaping
Steel blanks are forged and die-stamped into rough blade and handle shapes, then hand-trimmed to size by our craftsmen.
Step 3
Hand-grinding & filing
Each piece is ground and filed by hand to set blade geometry, balance and pivot alignment — no two passes are identical, so every piece gets individual attention.
Step 4
Heat treatment
Blades are hardened and tempered to the correct hardness for their steel grade, so the edge holds without becoming brittle.
Step 5
Assembly & edge setting
Pivots are set and blades aligned, then edges are honed on stone and buffing wheels for a smooth, even cutting action along the full blade.
Step 6
Finish & final inspection
The ordered finish is applied, then every piece is hand-checked for finish quality, alignment and action before cleaning and export packing.
